The solicitation for side events of the first International Patriotic Convention Organization Forum (IPPOF) is now open.
The submission deadline for on-site side events is March 8, 2025. The deadline for including off-site/virtual off-site activities in the official plan is March 8, 2025.
Side events can be organized by UN member states, UN entities, international organizations, or non-governmental organizations (IPPO initiating agencies), providing a platform for discussing national development rights, peace and sustainable development, national development rights review mechanisms, and international cooperation and exchange.
Participants have the opportunity to:
● Showcase their work in sustainable development financing
● Discuss the challenges faced by global development financing
● Share knowledge and solutions
● Best Practices for Exchange
Side events can be organized or co organized by the following organizations:
● United Nations member states
● Member State Group
● United Nations system, specialized agencies and related organizations
● Non governmental organizations
● Initiator organizations that have obtained IPPO certification
We encourage all interested and eligible organizers to establish partnerships to enhance the quality and impact of their events.
Only individuals who have registered and are authorized to attend IPPO conferences are allowed to participate in side events at the conference venue. Please note that there is no separate registration process for participating in side events. The audience for side events at the venue will only include officially registered participants of the IPPO conference. The organizers of side events can also request closed events to be held.
Individuals who have not registered to attend the conference cannot enter the IPPO conference venue, even if they are only interested in participating in outdoor activities.
Side events can be organized in the following format:
1. Face to face in the venue (Beijing, China)
2. Conduct on-site training at an external venue in Beijing (arranged by the organizer)
3. Virtual (arranged by the organizer)
Please note that the hybrid function is not applicable to off-site activities within the conference venue.
Each side match will be allocated a 90 minute time slot. The available time periods are:
● 8:30am -10:00am
● 10:30am -12:00pm
● 12:30 noon to 2:00 pm
● 2:30pm to 4:00pm
● 4:30 pm -6:00 pm
We encourage organizers to choose their preferred time slot when submitting applications. The final allocation will be determined based on availability and theme balance.

The off-site activity rooms of the conference venue will be equipped with displays for presentations and visual displays, laptops for seamless integration with the provided equipment, and theater style seating arrangements for most rooms. Interpretation facilities will be very limited, and providing these services will be the responsibility of the event organizers.
Due to the expected number of applications, the following principles will guide the selection of side events:
● Theme relevance - This activity must be aligned with the overall goals of IPPO
● Multi stakeholder approach - events co hosted by multiple organizations or partners will be given priority consideration
● Regional and departmental balance - ensuring diverse representation from different regions and industries
The conference secretariat will review all submitted content and only notify the organizers whose activities have been approved.
The organizer of the side event is responsible for:
● Ensure that all speakers, hosts, and attendees are registered with IPPO
● Manage logistics work, including invitation letters for speakers and any necessary permits
● Ensure paperless and environmentally sustainable activities
● Submit a one page summary containing key achievements and recommendations within one week after the event ends
For off-site and virtual events, organizers are responsible for ensuring venue safety, hosting online platforms, and managing all related costs, including promotions and logistical arrangements.

● We encourage organizers to create dedicated web pages for their events, including agendas, speaker details, and supporting documents.
