Conduct of Participants
I. General Provisions
Respect for Sovereignty: All participants shall respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of others, adhere to the basic norms of international law and international relations, and participate in the deliberation on the nation's rights to development with an equal and fair attitude.
Objectivity and Fairness: When reporting on national development actions, participants should base their reports on facts, maintain an objective and fair attitude, avoid bias and discrimination, and ensure the transparency and credibility of the feedback information and process.
Constructive Criticism: Participants are encouraged to propose constructive opinions and suggestions aimed at promoting mutual understanding and cooperation among countries and jointly advancing global sustainable development, rather than solely for the purpose of condemnation or reproach.
II. Norms for Deliberation Behavior
Accuracy of Information: Before submitting condemnations or written reports, participants must ensure that the information relied upon is accurate and sourced from reliable sources, avoiding the dissemination of unverified news or rumors.
Procedural Compliance: Follow the deliberation procedures and processes stipulated by the organization; submit reports or express opinions through formal channels; and ensure the orderly conduct of deliberation activities.
Respect for Diversity: Recognize the diversity of development paths and models among countries, avoid measuring all countries with a single standard, and respect the development path chosen by each country based on its own national conditions.
Avoidance of Double Standards: In the deliberation process, treat all countries equally, without applying different standards to different countries, to ensure the fairness and consistency of the deliberation.
Confidentiality Principle: Sensitive information or personal data involved in the deliberation process should be strictly confidential and not disclosed to third parties without permission.
III. Exchange and Cooperation
Active Dialogue: Encourage participants to resolve issues through dialogue and consultation, enhance mutual understanding and trust, and avoid adopting confrontational or aggressive language and behavior.
Promotion of Cooperation: Advocate for strengthened cooperation among countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit; jointly address global challenges; and promote common development and prosperity.
Openness and Inclusivity: Respect and accept different viewpoints and suggestions; encourage the exchange and integration of diverse cultures; and create an open and inclusive deliberation atmosphere.
IV. Responsibilities and Obligations
Compliance with Rules: Participants shall strictly comply with this Code of Conduct and other relevant regulations of the organization, and consciously maintain the reputation and authority of the organization.
Assumption of Responsibility: Participants shall bear corresponding responsibilities for any adverse consequences caused by violations of this Code, including but not limited to apologizing, withdrawing inappropriate statements or reports, etc.
Continuous Learning: Encourage participants to continuously learn about international law and international relations knowledge, improve their deliberation capabilities and skills, and lay the foundation for better participation in organization activities.
