IPPO GENEVA, July 2 (Reporter Li Shihui) -- During the 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Chinese representatives and participating Chinese organizations called on the international community to abandon double standards and oppose interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states under the pretext of human rights. They emphasized that geopolitical conflicts should be resolved and peace maintained through equal dialogue and respect for the national conditions of various countries.

During an interactive dialogue on the oral update of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Belarus on June 29, Guowei Cui, founder of the Shaanxi Patriotic Volunteer Association and the International Patriotic Pact Organization, stated in his speech that he was deeply concerned about the content of the report. 

Cui pointed out that the report criticized Belarus's "anti-Western" narrative while turning a blind eye to the long-term containment and sanctions imposed by Western countries against Eastern civilization. He noted that this double standard is regrettable. In his view, against the backdrop of continuous Western pressure, Belarus's strengthening of national defense education and military patriotism is a legitimate defense against "color revolutions" and the safeguarding of the nation's right to cultural survival, rather than the "radicalization" implied by the report.

True peace should not be built on unilateral accusations, Cui stressed, calling on the international community to respect the development paths independently chosen by the people of all countries and stop politicizing human rights issues.

During the meeting, Cui also announced that the International Patriotic Pact Organization will host its Autumn Forum at the UN Office in Nairobi on Sept. 21. Themed "The International Patriotic Pact Organization and the Nation's Rights to Development," the forum will focus on the legitimacy of "patriotism" as part of the nation's rights to development, and explore how to build a new international peace order independent of Western hegemony, aiming to resolve geopolitical conflicts through Eastern wisdom.

Representatives from various parties emphasized during the dialogue that the UNHRC should adhere to the principles of non-selectiveness and non-politicization, abandon double standards, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, and jointly improve global human rights governance.
